FALL 2012 MAKEUP TRENDS

Bold mascara and wine-drenched lips.

Gucci's makeup was classic at the Fall shows with naked eye makeup and bold lashes reminiscent of Twiggy. Coat lashes with thickening mascara on both upper and lower lashes making extra sure to pay attention to those inner lashes to accentuate those beautiful brights! Try MAC Opulash for $14. Finish off with a wine-colored lip liner to define your mouth and fill with Lacome Color Design Matte lipstick in Plum Show.

Brown matte shades with plum gloss.

One bolder look that is perfect for fall (and especially on olive skin tones) is a cascading array of matte mocha shades. Try the Almay Eyeshadow Trio in Smoky Brown for foolproof application instructions. Line with brown liquid liner on the top lid, and a brown kohl pencil on the bottom lid to achieve that smoky look. Finish with bronzer on the apples of your cheeks and a lip gloss like Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss in Potent Plum. Add falsies for extra lush lashes.

For a dewy & ethereal look add opalescent shadow and Popsicle-red lips.

This slightly colorful look is extremely flattering on fair skin tones and really brings out green, gray, or blue eyes. Try using the gray tone in Dior's Montaigne Gray Palette on your entire lid and the pearl on the inner corners of your eye to brighten your iris. Finish with one coat of lengthening mascara and bright pink creamy cheek color. Try MAC Cherry Red lipstick and finish with gloss to get that beautiful sheen.

Bare eyes and burgundy lips make an autumn statement.

For a look that is all fall go for down-played eyes and deeply rich and shiny lips. Be sure to use concealer on your lids to even out tone and then apply one layer of peach shadow and line bottom of lower lids with white pencil eyeliner. Finish with a bold burgundy lip. Try Revlon ColorStay lipstick in Lavish Burgundy.

JCrew's runways were full of natural faces and colorful lips.

Even out skin tone with fresh cream foundation. I use Revlon Custom Creations in Medium. Finish with a dusting of translucent powder and contour cheeks with bronzer. Add a touch of pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. Coat lips with peachy-red lipstick like Revlon Moon Drops lipstick in Frost Orange.
